Prospect House is a new construction, single family residence overlooking the city of Vancouver. The client wanted to achieve a house that used a simple, yet refined material palette to situate the home into its forested hillside site while taking advantage of the breathtaking views.

The Esquimalt Residence is a new construction residence with a breathtaking view of the city of Vancouver. Almost eye level with the iconic Lions Gate Bridge, the site was bound by substantial topography and limiting bylaws. As a result of these restrictive qualities, the house utilizes each of it’s three levels to provide outdoor “terraces”. The secondary suite also was a large component of the house, with it’s design to allow the homeowner to switch between a one or two bedroom suite.

Perched atop a steep slope, The Keith Residence was a 5,800 square foot renovation that had to navigate limiting geographical and zoning conditions.
Since these constraints would restrict what new construction could be built, the project had to work within the existing structure’s bounding box to address the programmatic needs of contemporary living. As a result, the house was re-framed from the inside out to achive open floor plans, high ceilings, and massive, pocketing balcony doors.

Emerald Drive is a contemporary take on the “cabin in the woods”. Backing onto crown land, the house begins to get absorbed by the forest behind it. While the project had many specific design goals, the constraints placed upon the site via covenants and zoning helped drive many of the architectural gestures. It is through these moves that the house begins to resonate - where simple materials and finishes harmonize with the beautiful landscape.

Cascadia Bakery is husband and wife bakery nestled in the heart of the heritage district of Port Moody. The existing heritage designated building required a significant update in order to accommodate the needs of the client.
